HR Advisor
Working closely with the wider HR team, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to employees, and line managers continuously improving processes, and supporting the delivery of HR projects.

We’re looking for an HR Advisor who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-moving, generalist environment, and wants to make a meaningful contribution to how we support and develop our people. As a smaller consultancy, we offer the flexibility to shape your role, explore new ideas, and make an impact without unnecessary layers of process or red tape. In this role, you’ll provide expert HR support across the full employee lifecycle. You’ll focus on compliance and advice, aligning with best practice.
Working closely with the wider HR team, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to employees, and line managers continuously improving processes, and supporting the delivery of HR projects. You’ll be part of a small, collaborative HR team made up of our Head of HR, HR Business Partner, and Talent Acquisition Partner a group that values curiosity, openness, and continuous learning. You will work on a hybrid basis from our Bristol office, with occasional travel to our London office, in a visible, business facing role supporting managers and teams across the organisation.
What you’ll be doing:
• Serve as a friendly, approachable first point of contact for HR queries, providing generalist advice in line with policies, legislation, and best practice.
• Manage core HR processes across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment administration, onboarding, induction, right to work checks, probation, performance, conduct, and exit interviews.
• Maintain accurate and confidential HR records in line with GDPR and ISO standards, ensuring readiness for audits and compliance with internal and external requirements.
• Produce regular HR reports and dashboards (e.g. headcount, absence, turnover) and supply ad-hoc data.
• Monitor key employee processes such as absence, leave, sickness and probation reviews, issuing reminders and supporting managers where required.
• Contribute to HR policy and process updates, recommending improvements and ensuring documentation remains compliant.
• Lead and support HR continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to streamline processes, enhance the employee experience, and drive operational efficiency.
• Support the development and optimisation of the HRIS, ensuring data accuracy and a user-friendly experience.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders and support HR projects, and department targets .
On Day One, You Will Bring
• CIPD Level 3 or above, or another recognised foundational HR qualification (preferred).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing HR cases end-to-end with confidence, discretion, and sensitivity.
• Solid knowledge and experience of UK employment legislation and HR procedures, including performance improvement, disciplinaries, grievances, appeals, and absence/wellbeing.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building effective relationships at all levels.
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Resilience, practicality, and self-starter qualities; comfortable working independently and in teams. you’re proactive about learning, improving, and helping others do the same.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
